A blockchain wallet is a device, program, or online service that stores the keys to your cryptographic assets, including your SeaTrees digital receipts. Most wallets are simple interfaces that are used via smartphones or as browser extensions. These wallets allow you to access and manage your assets on the blockchain.

Wallets interacting with the SeaTrees user dashboard need to operate on the Solana blockchain. There are many different providers offering Solana wallets, most of which are free to use. We recommend Backpack, a reliable and comprehensive wallet native to the Solana ecosystem.

Your wallet has a specific and unique public key, also known as an address. This address is the long string of numbers and letters that is generally displayed near the top of your wallet interface (in the Backpack browser extension, you can view your wallet address by clicking on the name of the wallet at the top of the window.)
